The Kids Ink Writers Club is a service of the Youth Services department of the Temecula Public Library and is sponsored by the Friends of the Temecula Libraries. The writers are ages 9-12 and meet every other Tuesday for an hour to engage with other writers, play games and free write. The topics they write about are as varied as the writers’ personalities. We like to say at Kids Ink that there are “no bad ideas” and at our club everybody has a voice and their opinions matter. Our kids are not doing scholarly writing (they get enough of that at school), instead, they are creative writing about whatever is on their minds – and believe you me…they have a lot to say!
